Impetigo
Impetigo is a condition where red sores appear near the nose, mouth, hands and feet. It is often spread by close contact within small children or babies. The best way to prevent this is to maintain a good distance between others who have it or may have it. If you do end up getting it, impetigo can be treated with topical cream.
Fungal Infections
Fungal infections are one of my most contagious skin conditions due to its many forms. The main symptom of this infection is a rash in moist areas of the body. Fungal infections spread through close contact and often infect those with weakened immune systems. One way to prevent this is to make sure you take any necessary vitamins or supplements to ensure your immune system is working properly.
Ringworm
Similar to a fungal infection, ringworms often start as a red, scaly, circular rash. It can continue to grow if it goes untreated. It is spread through close contact with those who have it, including animals. To prevent ringworm from forming, it is important to practice good hygiene and always wash your hands.
Scabies
Scabies is caused by tiny mites that imbed themselves into the skin. It is spread through close contact with the mites or any infested furniture. The mites then cause a rash that is itchy and often painful. Along with staying away from those who have scabies, it is also good to clean furniture if you believe it is infested.
